Wholly Devoted - Song Story

Wholly Devoted was co-written with good friend Dan Nel on a beautiful fall day in the Kumsheen (the meeting of the rivers) in British Columbia, sitting on a picnic table with my new Duncan Africa guitar... It was the first road trip for my new Duncan, and Dan was supposed to be working on a homework assignment

on “Living a Life of Devotion” for his coursework at Ambrose University College.

Wholly Devoted was birthed that afternoon, and it seemed only fitting to record it as a duet with Dan (who also co-produced and helped engineer this CD). It’s also one of the only congregational worship songs you’ll hear with a harmonica solo and a bass solo. Think, “sittin on the dock, with your toes in the water…”.
